  • I think this would make a halfway decent punk rock song.  What do you think?

Why? (Ode to Ron and Melba)

Why… do I hate you so

    You are in my head

    You are in my brain

    Just can’t let you go

    Why… can’t I stand the sight

    Of your face at all

    When I think of you

    I confine myself… inside

    Why… do I play into

    The games you play

    Still I make my move

    Losing ground to you

    Why… can’t I just let you go

Can’t I just let you go

Can’t I just let you go

    Why…

    Why… can’t I just let you go

    From my mind

    From my hateful mind

    Why…

  • Was is the key word here
for I think you have maybe just
    jumped over that hump

  • Don’t you just hate hatefulness? Some people make hatefulness their main defensive mechanism and they are constantly on the defensive. Why is “just letting go” so difficult sometimes? Seems like it would be easy (that is, unless you’ve hung yourself up in a place to high to drop from)

  • Hey Andreas,

This is Stacey (sylvette_99). I do enjoy this piece so. It seems like something to sprint to. With my ipod. That I don’t have. And I don’t run, unless a bear is chasing me.

  • Yeah, they really put a lot into those superbowl commercials. The half time show with Paul was good.

  • Dear Andreas,

I’ve already read the poem, so just will say hi, since I haven’t visited in a while. I didn’t realize Lisa is such a fan, but now that I remember real closely, you do visit her site often, I’ve seen your profile photo there in comments. (As on my group, I’m always “late to the party” for some reason answering posts there, or commenting on Xangas. I always love it when I’m a “first commenter” for that reason)

I still like the poem a lot, upon second or third reading too.

  • Love the new graphic, it adds to the punk rock vibe.

  • I LOVE your poetry/songs.  There’s not a whole lot of poetry that I relate so well with, but I do with yours.  Keep it going!  You’ve got talent babe!
